Show I J ) , .. . j " NanChalat Jan and Amy Wilking. Weddings Mayer-Wilking Amy Mayer and Jan Wilking, both of Park City, were married Friday in an outdoor ceremony on Rossie Hill. The bride is the daughter of Jim and Adele Mayer of Hinsdale, 111. The groom, who is the publisher of the Park Record, is the son of Brenda Wilking and the late Jan Wilking Sr. of Casper, Wyo. Park City Mayor John C. Green Jr. led the exchange of vows in the neighborhood park. Donna Chekel of Tuscon, Ariz., a close friend of the bride's, was the maid of honor. Greg Schirf of Park City was best man. After the ceremony, the families and a few friends celebrated with a dinner at Stein Eriksen Lodge. Among the guests were Cyndy and Jim Mayer, Diane Gasparini, Richard and Helen Wilking, Rosemary and Mike Samuelson, Betty Dickie and Steve Dering. Bob Schuster of Jackson, Wyo. also made a special trip to Park City for the ceremony. On Saturday afternoon, many well-wishers turned out to congratulate the pair at the reception at Park Meadows Golf Course. Among the former Parkites who flew into town for the occasion were Dwight and Susan Burdick of Houston, Texas, Greer and Donna Markle of Sun Valley, Idaho, and John Paul and Callo Brozyna of Lake Tahoe,, Calif. Wilking is on the board of directors of the Park City Area Chamber of CommerceConvention and Visitors' Bureau, radio station KPCW, the Kimball Art Center and the Snyderville Basin Sewer District. Mayer was formerly a student at the University of Utah and until recently worked at Mileti's Restaurant. The Wilkings plan to spend their honeymoon cycling in northern Vermont and visiting Cape Cod. |
