Show DEAD MAN HALFR0SE Inquired if it Was Raining Rain-ing and Then Sank Back Ashcville, N. C, Jan. IS. When Robert Smith, an agod resident of South Hominy, apparently ceased to breathe his friends thought ho was dead. They piepared him for burial. Several hours later mourners obsorved a movement of Smith's arras. He half rose and exclaimed: "It's raining, isn't it?" Then he sank back. Despite these manifestations of life the shroud vras, not removed and twenty-four hours later Mr. Smith was again pronounced dead, Mr. Smith suffered from tuberculosis tu-berculosis for years. Ho was 70 years old. 1 Burial will take place today. |
