Show Xmas Lighting Fund Drive Rushed By Cedar City Jaycees A final drive for contributions for the Chlrstmas Lighting Fund for the Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce is being made this week, according to A. L. Thompson, chairman. As a prize in this worthwhile project the Jaycees will award a 1951 Jeep Station Wagon at the Deer Hunters' Ball Thursday evening, Oct. 20. All Jaycees are canvassing the community and area with very good response, Thompson said. However, much more money Is needed to handle the Christmas Drocram outlined bv the eroun this year. Thompson also stated that receipts re-ceipts on the Christmas contribution contribu-tion will not admit persons to the dance. The dance Is sponsored by the American Legion and through the cooperation of the Legionnaires the drawing will be held, he said. Contributions from $1 up will be accepted until the time of the drawing and citizens have been asked to help with this project. All money received will be used In the organization's annual Christmas lighting program. |
