Show Temple rites unite Peterson, Mounteer Miss Beverlee Jean Peterson became the bride of Jerry Mounteer in rites solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple December 14. President Theron Ashcroft officiated at the double ring ceremony. That evening the newlyweds were honored at a reception in th Enchanted Garden. They greeted guests the next even ing at an an open house in Es-calante. Es-calante. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Peterson, 2G2 N. 500 W. and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Mar-vin Mounteer, Escalante. The bride's gown was her own original design of polyester poly-ester crepe. An old-fashioned-touch was added with a set-in yoke of lace, long puffed sleeves sle-eves with lace covered cuffs and pear, buttons. The empire walsted skirt was topped with an over-ikirt of sheer voile with appliqued lace roses and rows of lace along the hem. The veil of bridal illusion was held by a bow of pearls and lace flowers. She carried a bouquet of lavender orchids and white and purple mums. Airs. Dean (Geri) Anderson, Misses Ruth Kenney, Beth Schaack and Joy Grimshaw, Mrs. Don (Mary Lou) Worth -ington, Mrs. Kent (Jean) Peterson Peter-son and Miss Peggy Mounteer attended the bride. Flower girl was Miss Natalie Anderson. The attendants wore long skirts of lavender covered with lace. The blouses were of cotton cot-ton crepe with cuffed sleeves and ruffled shoulders. They too followed the old-fashioned mo-tiff mo-tiff with set-in yokes. The ushering was done by Kevin Christensen, Steve Bulloch, Bul-loch, Dean Anderson, and Don Worthington. The mothers of the bridal couple wore dresses of purple dotted polyester with contrasting contrast-ing collars and accented by lavender orchid corsages. The newlyweds honeymooned honeymoon-ed in Northern Utah before returning re-turning to Cedar City to make their home. The bride is a graduate of Cedar High and Seminary. She attended SUSC where she was secretary of Tau Beta Epsilon. The bridegroom graduated from Escalante High and Seminary. Semi-nary. He has attended SUSC where he was Vice President of Tau Beta Sigma. He also fulfilled ful-filled a mission for the LDS Church in the New York-Cum-orah Mission. Prior to the wedding the bride was feted at a Grocery Shower given by Peggy Mounteer Moun-teer and Miscellaneous showers show-ers given by Jean Peterson and Ruth Kenney and Joy Grimshaw.
