Show Page Engagement Announced by Parents Parowan Gun & Rod I Club Re-elects j Pendleton as Head I At the annual election meeting meet-ing of the Parowan Gun and Rod Club held Thursday, Dec. 5, War- i ren Pendleton was re-elected as president of the club to serve for a second term. Mr. Pendleton has served as president for the past year and has been an active member of the club for years. At the same meeting Bernarr Rtubbs was named vice president, presi-dent, replacing Fred Smith, who has filled that position for the past year. Norman Day was reelected re-elected as treasurer and Ted Bur-1 ton was re-elected as secretary of the club for another term at the same meeting. I Vern C. Mortensen, Fred Dal-ton Dal-ton and Woodrow Decker were named as members of the board, with two more to be appointed in the near future. i Bernarr Stubbs has served as a board members during the past year. Others who have served as officers of the club during the past year were D. G. Van Ausdnl, M. B. Bayles, Kenneth Robinson, Victor Smith and Don Rollins. Mr. and Mrs. John Page of Par. owan announce the engagement of their daughter, Vernetta, to Fulton William Marshall, Jr. a member of the U. S. Air Force stationed at the Davis Monthan Air Force Bace at Tucson, Ariz. Miss Page, who left here several sever-al months ago to take employment employ-ment at Tucson, Is employed as a secretary at an airplane plant in the Arizona city and is also serving as a stake missionary for the LDS church in that city. She is a graduate of the Parowan Par-owan High School and attended College of Southern Utah In Cedar Ce-dar City and was employed by the telephone company there pr'-or pr'-or to leaving for Arizona. The prospective bridegroom is a son of Fulton William Marshall, Mar-shall, Sr. of Charlottesville. Va. He is a graduate of the Miller School at Albemarle, Va. and at-tended at-tended the University of Virginia before joining the Air Force, and is now president of the M Club! of the Miller School. No date has been set as yet for the wedding, but the young couple plan on coming to Paro-j wan to visit with the Page family, fam-ily, during the Christmas holidays. holi-days. ,1 |
