Show Reception Honors Couple After Temple Wedding A reception was held in Cedar City Monday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Rodney A. Brown, who were married in the St. George temple on Friday, August 5th. The bride is the former Miss Joanna Palmer, daughter of Mr. rr.d Mrs. E. Leo Palmer, Cedar City, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Brown, also of Cedar City. Officiating at the wedding was President Harold Har-old Snow of the St. George Temple. Tem-ple. The reception and dance for the newlyweds was held Monday evening in the Cedar Second ward church. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Avis Palmer, a sister of the bride. Act-it Act-it g as bridesmands were the Misses Corrine and Barbara Brown, sisters of the groom, and Miss Marilyn Macfarlane, cousin cou-sin qt the bride. Flower girl was Claudia Palmer. Best man was Gaylen Brown, a brother of the groom. The young bride wore a gown of lace over white satin, and carried car-ried a bouquet of white gladioli edged with lilys of the valley. The maid of honor and the biidesmaids wore gowns of white rrgandy over pastel shades. They all carried bouquets of yellow gladioli. Following the Temple wedding, wed-ding, the bridal couple left on a wedding trip through the southern south-ern Utah Parks. They will make their home this fall in Chicago vhere the groom is attending dental school at Northwestern University. The groom is a graduate of the Branch Agricultural college and the bride attended Cedar City schools, the BAC, and the University Univer-sity of Utah. |
