Show Death of Father McCourt. R- v. John Clark McCourt. for many years a laborer in the diocese of Colorado, Colo-rado, died last' week j;l Kansas City, and the remains v ere brought to Denver Den-ver for burial. A brother and sister who had been with him in his last illness accompanied Ihe body. Solemn high mass of reimiem was cel.-brated Saturday morning at 10 'clock in Logan avenue chapel by Rev. Father MeMenamin. assisted by Rev! Father Donovan as deacon, and Rev. Father "Walsh as sub-deacon. Father McCourt was very well known in Denver, where he served as assistant assist-ant at several parishes.. St. Francis de Sales. St. Patrick's in North Denver and St. John's in Harman. He was also for some time chaplain of Glockner sanitarium sani-tarium in Colorado Springs. Over two years ag.. he was transferred to the Leavenworth diocese and at the time ot his death was in charge of St. John's church at Lawtvnee. Kan., and also chaplain of the- Topcka council. Knights of Columbus. Father McCourt is survived by two brothers. Peler and Michael McCourt of Denver and three sisters. Mrs Wright of Denver. Mrs. M Donald of Butte. Mont., and Mrs. Senior of Salt Lake ity. Peter McCourt. the theatrical Tnanager. is a cousin. |
