Show Obituary. MAHAN. Mrs. Mary Mahan, wife of James Ma-h8n, Ma-h8n, a miner employed at the Silver King mine at Park City, died suddenly last Saturday in her apartment at th-? St. Elmo hotel from heart disease, aged 63 years. Mrs. Mahan was a native na-tive of .New York City, but for many years of her life she lived at Bellevue, Ida., where her only child, Mrs. S. V. Miller, now resides. About six years ago Mr. and Mrs. Mahan moved to Park City, but last spring she came to Salt Lake City, the altitude at Park City being too great, and since that time she has made the St. Elmo her home. Friday she went shopping, and while passing O'Donnel'ft undertaking parlors stopped .to speak to the proprietor. At that moment a funeral passed and she inquired the name of the person who was to be buried. When informed she said: "Two years ago they brought me down to Park Citv and thev said that T wouldn't live another day. but I am still alive and I've seen some of those buried who said at that time that I was going go-ing to die. and I expect to see a good manv more." Saturday morning she arose at her customary hour, ate a hearty breakfast break-fast and said that she felt in very good health. Shortly afterward she was taken tak-en 111 and Dr. E. Viko was called. While he was at a drug store procuring reme-I reme-I dies for her relief, she expired, and on his return he said that death was due to heart disease.
