Show J FUR AND CHIFFON. I Chiffon is certainly a most marvel ous material, and this seasnn has apparently ap-parently taken a new lease of life, for it is used on every description of gown, is made into capes and cloaks and even entire gowns, while combined with fur it is made up in muffs and boas. If the saying be true that there is warmth in a piece of lace, then chiffon is as warm as fur and is used accordingly. The boas and muffs, made of brown criffon and sable fur, are quite the smartest articles of the kind that have ever been seen, and are so becoming the fashion is sure to remain with us for some time. There are a number of chiffon sets, as they are called made , ; ; pf pale pink, blue or yellow, but charming- as they are, they are not so pretty as the darker colors, and are only suitable suit-able for theatre wear. Black chiffon, with black fox or with gray fox' is very chic, and, of course, very expensive. |
