Show William Vernal Slinkcspear TROPIC - William Vernal Shakespear, 69, Tropic, died March 14, 1981 in a Panguitch hospital. He was born April 3, 1911, Tropic, to William John and Matilda Ann Stolworthy Shakespear. He married Marian Dalley Winters, Jan. 13, 1942, St. George LDS Temple. He was a livestock raiser and farmer and former employee of U.S. Forest Service. Survivors: widow, Tropic; sons, daughters, Mrs. Robert L. (Ann) Thornton, Fayetteville, N.C.; Mrs. Roland (Palma) Miles, Cedar City; Val N., Cedar City; Carl Ellis, Franz, both Tropic; Vernal D., . Herriman; Donald V., Bea River City; 30 grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Cannon, St. George; Eulla Parkinson, Roy; Aletta Dodds, Sacramento, Calif.; brothers, E. R., Alton, Obie, all Tropic. Funeral services were Wednesday in the Tropic Ward chapel with Bishop Roderick K. Syrett, officiating. Harley Alton Shakespear offered the family prayer and Judy Chynoweth played prelude and postlude music. Leon Parkinson gave the Invocation. Speakers were June Shakespear, Wallace Ott, Clive Bybee and Bishop Syrett. Music included selections by the Relief Society Chorus directed by Jan Nielson, and vocal duet by Harold and Donald Winter. George Dodds gave the benediction. Burial was in the Tropic Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where E. R. Shakespear offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Donald Shakespear, Vernal Shakespear, Franz Shakespear, Carl Ellis Shakespear, Val N. Shakespear, Roland Miles, Robert Thornton. |
