Show Sgt. Fay F. Reber, 26, Killed In Action; William E. Gray Missing Another Washington county hero has fallen in battle, Sgt. Fay F. Reber, 26, having been killed in action over Germany July 20th. Sgt. Reber has been overseas since June and was officially reported re-ported missing in action over Germany since July 20, the word being received late in August by his parents, Mr. ad Mrs. Frank Reber. On Tuesday of this week they were advised that he had been killed in action on that date. Memorial services for Sgt. Reber will be held in the Zion Park stake chapel, Hurricane, Sunday, Sept. 17th at 4:30 p. m. His complete com-plete obituary will appear in next week's News. Mrs. Helen Francis Gray also received word this week that her grandson, William E. Gray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Gray of Palmer, Neb., is missing in action in France since Aug. 8th. The news that her grandson is missing reached Mrs. Gray by airmail air-mail Tuesday. Details as to his rank or assignment are lacking. Although Mr. Gray claims Nebraska Ne-braska as his home, he is well-known well-known in St. George, having made long visits here with his grandmother. |
