About 100 teen-agers and seven instructors in-structors were guests of officers of the base. The group of students were under un-der the supervision of Paul K. Walker, principal. The art center students were shown through the hangars, shops, and offices, and saw B-29's just back from Korea. They saw scores of B-26 light bombers on long production lines being readied for combat, and watched skilled hands pack parachutes for cargo drops. An educational film called "Self , Preservation In Atomic Attack" 1 was shown to the students to round out their two-hour tour. The tour was arranged and conducted con-ducted especially for the high school by the Public Information office. |
