Show LeetomBeiMiettf Mrs. Fern Houston BIRTHDAY PARTY Twenty-four little boys and girls met at the home of Ned Coltharp Saturday to be guests at a birthday party with a cake having 5 candles. Gordon was the happy recipient of many nice gifts, and a wonderful time was had by all. I Saturday the Blue Bird Girls gave a party at the home of their teacher, Mrs. Otis Hor-rocks. Hor-rocks. The mothers and the Primary Presidency were entertained enter-tained with a program, games and a lunch. John Horrocks - visited Pete Duncan at Neola. He is not well at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bowen attended the funeral of Robert Dean at Roosevelt last Friday. WELL CLOSED The Leeton No. 1 - well has been closed down for the present pres-ent time. The Carter Oil ran a plug at 5000 feet, and have decided to. abandon it for the present. Clair Haslem and Garr Bolton were appointed to solicit funds for the Boy Scouts of America, last week, and report their efforts ef-forts were very worth while. Word has just been received that Vern Hamaker was shot and killed at Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Parnell left for Winslow, Arizona, Sunday Sun-day morning where Ray has accepted ac-cepted a drilling job. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Williams were callers for a short visit with the J. A. Housto'ns, Friday. Fri-day. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Houston, Clair Haslem, Arthur Wiscombe and. Mr and Mrs. Carl Lindley attended at-tended the oil re-hearing at Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Bolton are home after having made a week's visit in Salt Lake City and Tremonton. |
