Show OBITURARY HARDY HAYES ' BLAINE Funeral services for Hardy Hayes Blaine, 78, were held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Myton LDS Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop Glenn Gilbert. Gil-bert. Mr. Blaine died suddenly at his home last Friday, Nov. 20, at 1:30 p.m. of a heart attack. He was born Ferbuary 19, 1875, at Genieva, Nebraska, a son of John and Hannah Dem-mon Dem-mon Blaine. He came to Myton during the early years of the opening of the reservation, and married Mary A. Colthorp in Myton, Dec. 31, 1913. He was engaged in farming until a few years ago when he retired. He is survived by his widow, Myton; a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Mar-guerite Madsen, Salt Lake City; a son, John Hardy Blaine, Roosevelt; Roos-evelt; and seven grandchildren. . An account of the funeral services follows: Prelude music, Mrs. Syerl Dennis; opening prayer, pray-er, Loyal Perry; talk, Bishop Glenn Gilbert; vocal duet, Mrs, Gertrude Moysh and Bennie Schmiett, accompanied by Mrs. Schmiett; talk, Mayor Wm. H. Linck; vocal solo, Mrs. Moysh; talk, Harold Eldredge; and benediction, ben-ediction, Wilmer Murray. Pall bearers included W. E. Broome, Wm. Jennings, L. P. Anderle, L. M. Parrish, Wm. Harris and James Paxman. Burial was in the Roosevelt City cemetary, under the direction direct-ion of Olpin Mortuary. Melvin Peterson dedicated the grave. ROBERT P. DEAN Funeral services for Robert Perry Dean, 49, were held Friday, Fri-day, November 20 in the Roosevelt Roos-evelt LDS stake house with Rev. Wm. G. Trow, conducting. Opening prayer was offered by Rev. Trow followed with a song by Mr. Rex Taylor, and daughter, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine"; Obituary was read by Harold Dillman; song, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dillman, "The Old Rugged Cross", accompanied ac-companied by Dorthy Dillman; speaker, Rev. Ferris Winn; song, "In A Land Where We'll Never Grow Old", Mrs. Virgil Scurlock and Mrs. Robert Johnson, accompanied ac-companied by Miss Dillman. Prelude and postlude music was also played by Miss Dillman. Services were concluded at the Roosevelt Cemetery with a scriptural reading and prayer by Rev. Trow. Pallbearers were Doc Jenkins, Mervin Betts, Art Allen, Elmer Caldwell, Lynn McClure, Frank Winn, George Winn, Morris Winn, Harvey Dean and Morley Dean. - |
