Show Mrs. Ellen Bracken Relief Society Group Sees Film Most of the Relief Societv members of the ward went to Roosevelt on Tuesday afternoon of last week to see the picture show, "Christmas Carol." The literature lesson was postponed in order to see the show, which was enjoyed by everyone. Rev. and Mrs. Ferris Winn and two small daughters arrived ar-rived from Arizona last Tuesday and will spend some time 'visiting 'visit-ing relatives and friends. They came also to attend the funeral of Robert Dean, a brother-in-law of .Rev. Winn. Mr. and Mrs. "Tex" Ross are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl, born to them at the Roosevelt Hospital, Nov 20. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler and Tom Shisler spent Friday in Vernal - visiting and attending to some business. Miss Marion Gardner went to Logan to visit with her sister, Glenda, until Thanksgiving holidays. hol-idays. Glenda it attending the U.S A.C. Philip Hollingworth and a companion from Wagstaff, Ariz., are visiting at the home of Philip's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Squire Mangum. A number of the men in the ward went out on a special deer hunt this week. Among them we're Calvin Squire and Junior Betts. Due to' the heavy snow storm, the school bus in the vicinity of Independence was unable to bring the students to Alterra for two days. |
