Show Four Commerical Bank Employees Gain New Positions; One Steps Down, Another Resigns According to P. P. Thomas.H president of the Commercial Bank of Utah, at a recent meeting meet-ing of the executive committee of the banking firm, several j changes were made in officer j designations at the Roosevelt and Duchesne offices. I Ray S. Jordan, who since July, 1951 has served as manager man-ager of the Roosevelt office, and from 1923 until the Commercial Com-mercial Bank purchased the assets as-sets of the Roosevelt State Bank, was cashier of that institution, in-stitution, upon his own request, has been relieved of his duties as manager. Named to succeed Mr. Jordan is Wesley R. Dickerson, who has been with the firm since it moved into the Uintah Basin as agricultural consultant, and as an assistant manager. Others i in the Roosevelt and Duchesne offices being advanced are Paul Murphy and Mrs. J. O. Orser, who have been named as assistant assist-ant managers. They were associated asso-ciated with the old Roosevelt State Bank, Mr. Murphy for 13 years and Mrs. Orser since the bank was established in 1920 Var Rosenbaum has been named manager of the Duchesne office with Mrs. Barbara Meriwether as his assistant. He has been with the company about six months. Simultan eous with the an-1 nouncements of the changes in the officer designations at Roos- evelt and Duchesne, comes the information that Robert Montgomery, Mont-gomery, manager at Duchesne and assistant manager at Roosevelt, Roose-velt, is leaving the organization to accept an executive position with the Idaho' Bank and Trust Co., with headquarters at Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho. He has been with the company for five years, half of which has been spent in this area. He will assume his new duties approximately January 1, 1954. According to Mr. Thomas, Mr Jordan will be retained by the bank as a member of the loan committee, and as a special consultant con-sultant and counselor to the office of-fice managers at Roosevelt and Duchesne. Stepping down from active management of a bank will end thirty years on the firing fir-ing line for Mr. Jordan, who became cashier of the Roosevelt State Bank in 1923. A native of Missouri, Mr. Jordan Jor-dan first came to the Basin in 1914. When " asked what he would do with his leisure time, Mr. Jordan said he planned to devote de-vote part of it to vacationing with his wife, and taking care of his personal affairs. The Jor-dans Jor-dans have a daughter, Joyce, who is a junior student at the University of Utah. In making the announcements of the changes in the personnel at the banks in Roosevelt and Duchesne, Mr. Thomas praised the work of each of the employees, em-ployees, and indicated that they would not be working as managers man-agers and assistant managers, but rather as a team, all equal in responsibility, with each helping the other to make the work easier. He also expressed regrets in losing Mr. Montgomery Montgom-ery from the organization, but complimented him on his new position. All changes in officer designation desig-nation became effective on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Nov. 25. i |
