After dinner din-ner they enjoyed some square dancing at the Cenlerville 1st-3rd 1st-3rd ward. Mrs. Emily D. Pickering was honored by her sons at a birthday dinner held at Harmon's Har-mon's cafe, Feb. 17. It was al- her daughter Laurel's birthday G amies and refreshments were ; enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Rigby are the proud parents of a new-baby new-baby girl born Feb. 17. She has two sisitcrs and a brother wait ing at home for her. Val Mitchell was with a group of 13 air force ROTC members who flew by plane last Thursday to Edwards Air Force base at California. Mrs. Geniel Reeves is in the LDS hospital following an operation Feb. 17. Mrs. J. J. Rick's entertained entertain-ed at a birthday party for her daughter Jean on her 10th birthday. About ten guests were present. Games and refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Randall are the proud parents of theri first baby, a girl, born Feb. 17 At the ContervHle first ward sacrament meeting a new ward clerk was sustained, Raymond Gwynn was released as the statistical clerk and Stayncr Fredrickson was released ns clerk in charge of welfare and ward teachers. Allen Beers of the stake presidency was present and presented the names for the ward's approval. Speakers were Raymond Gwynn and Jack Buckwalter, LeRoy Web- so the birthday of Mrs. Franklin Frank-lin D. Garss, who is a granddaughter grand-daughter of Mrs. Pickering. She also was an honored guest Those present were: Mrs. Pickering, Pick-ering, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin D. Garss, Mr. and Mrs. Loren R. Pickering and Mr. and Mrs. H. Lynn Pickering of Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Vern D. Pickering Pick-ering of Bountiful; Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Pickering of Cen tcrville, a grandson, Larry Pickering and his girl friend. Emily received many beautiful cards and lovely gifts from her children and many friends. Her son Floyd and family of Cedar City called to wish her a happy birthday, also. Mr. and Mrs. Luzell Wilde attended a party Monday, Feb. 17 at the Hillside House. Those . attending were the members of the Orpheus male chorus and i their lives. They enjoyed din-' din-' ner, games and dancing. The chorus is under the direction ! of Arthur J. Southwick. Mrs. Marie Roberts entertained enter-tained for her club Saturday, ; Feb,. 15. Refreshments were - enjoyed. Mrs. Gertrude Mitchell en- tertained Wednesday, Feb. 12 . for 27 little guests in honor of A tupperware party was held at the home of Joan , Loosle, Wednesday, Feb. 12. Twelve guests were present. Donna Murray of Bountiful was the tupperware hostess, antes were played and refreshments refresh-ments were served. Viola Smith was hostess to the Music, Literature and Art club Feb. 17 at her home. Areta Rushforth gave the lesson les-son on "Miracles and Parables of the Bible." An accordion solo was presented by Kayleen Day. Special guests were Mrs. and Miss Cox of Salt Lake. Leola Chandled, Mary Porter and Clara Cleveland. Refreshments Refresh-ments were enjoyed. Dr. Leland Monson, a professor pro-fessor with the Weber College is being sponsored by the Liter ature, Music and Art Club in a series of 12 lectures on "Literature "Liter-ature Appreciation" to ,be held at the Cenlerville school beginning be-ginning the last of March.
