Show Zone Approved For New Haywards Market A new super-market lias been assured to the raoidly growing area in southeast Bountiful and Davis County. This was made possible by formal action of the Board of County Commissioners in its melting of Feb. 20 when it designated a certain area as C-l. This will allow a supermarket super-market and other related types of business. Coy and Aldin Hayward are owners of the three acre trift ; of land located on Orchard Drive and Virginia Lane ((i.'MlO Smith St.) This tract h' S iust south of Bountiful city limits, so the zoning of same came under the Davis Coui.ty Planning Coiiinii.-sion, with final approval by the county commissioners. , i The Hayward brothers pick-' ed this place as the ideal sp 't on which to build a s "cond Hay ward's Market or Fond-town Fond-town as it is now called. It has taken several irmths to accnin plish the first part of tin ir plans. A local architect, Richard Stringham in connection with Arnold Frchin r of Salt Lake City, who is a nationally recognized rec-ognized planning and lai.d-j scape architect, have prepared the first plans and tract layout which will give ample space for a large number of c:us I The Hayward brothers will visit the best and newet markets and shops in Los Angeles An-geles and in Arizona for ideas. One feature will be the two or three adjoining small simp, in the same structure, such as a beauty shop, drug store, etc. Now that the area has been zoned for such a use, they expect ex-pect to move ahead with the planning and then the construe lion of the building. |
