The guide patrol class of the second ward enjoyed a fathers and sons fun night last week. 14 of the 16 enrolled in the class were present and 13 of the fathers were there. Competitive Com-petitive games were played, scout master, Vernon Christen-sen Christen-sen gave a talk and a news reel was presented by Paul Liinberg. The 14 boys also received re-ceived their tender foot badges The stake high priests are looking forward to Saturday Feb. 22 when there will be a big banquet for them and their partners. ORCHARD NEWS HELEN LUNGGREEN A new baby girl is now rc-j siding with the Leo Powells of 7200 South. They now have four girls and one boy. Saturday, Feb. 15, Bishop Stillman Harding left for San Bernardino, Calif, where he will attend the Civil Aeronautics Aero-nautics conference for all train ing supervisors of the 11 Western West-ern States, Alaska and Hawaii. He will be gone for three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Walker of 575 West spent last week end in Utah County where they visited with Mr. Walker's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Walker of Springville and also Mrs. Walkcr's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Redford of Orcm, Utah. A sleigh riding parly was enjoyed by a group of friends in the area up to Little Mountain Moun-tain last Wednesday night, but instead of using sleighs they found big truck inner tubes were a lot more fun. Afterwards After-wards they all gathered at the Ray Lutz home and had waffles. Max Conlcy and Glen Lee tried something a little different differ-ent the other day. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford B. Folkman of 7200 South. Mrs. Katherine Peterson has been confined to her home with a strep throat, but at this time is feeling much better. She is an accomplished violinist violin-ist and plays with tne Utah Symphony orchestra. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Johnson recently returned from Ogdcn where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Facer, parents of Jean Johnson. South Davis stake center was setting Friday evening for the marriage and reception of Miss Lee Ann Cleverly and William F. Sargent. Bishop Wallace Rollins of Val Verda second ward officiated.
