Their modern counterpart, the parking meter is now being considered for these streets. Parking Meters The prospect that Bountiful may soon have parking meters me-ters stiM looms large. Such a possibility has been discussed stveral times recently recent-ly in the Bountiful council. Last Wednesday night City Manager Alvin Sessions reported re-ported on correspondence he has had with other cities using the meters. An example from among the figures he gave is Richfield, which reported revenue of $48.15 per meter during 1956. Gross for the year was about $9000, with expenses totaling $1796. Meters may be purchased, at a cost of $60 per head, excluding ex-cluding post and installation. lOr they may be obtained on a I lease-purchase basis, the city 'manager said. I All the data gathered to date will be put in a file for consideration by the new chief of police when he takes office j March 1. |
