Show Youth Injured by Falling Rock Dr. D. A. McGregor made a trip to Zion Park Tuesday afternoon to bring to the hospital Ashby Hardy, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hardy of LaVerkin, the victim of a shocking shock-ing accident which occured in the creek near the park at one o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Hardy was employed by the park service under direction of Harold Ruesch in making repairs along the crossings and at the time of the accident ac-cident "was assisting the crew of workmen in raising a heavy rock from the bed of the creek with the aid of a derrick. The derrick gave way suddenly crashing onto Hardy who sustained a badly fractured skull, severe lacerations on both sides of his head, the left ear being practically torn loose. His condition condi-tion is regarded as very serious. Washington County News. |
