Show Colored Sketch of Marion Davies' Gown First Ever Sent by Wire For the first time in history, a colored col-ored picture was transmitted by wire, , I when Marion Davies began work on "Not So Dumb," het new Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer feature which will open Friday at the Victory Theatre, j The picture, sent from New York by Howard Greer, noted style expert was a three-color print of a sketch he made of a gown worn by Miss Davies in the nev film, and was sent over the Pacific Telegraph & Telephone system in three "key" prints, which, when printed together, was a perfect reproduction repro-duction of the costume designed by Greer. Elliott Nugent plays opposite Miss Davies in her new picture, which was adapted from the successful stage farce, "Dulcy." Included in the supporting sup-porting cast are Raymond Hackett, William Holden, Julia Faye, Sally Starr, Donald Ogden Stewart and Franklin Pangborn. King Vidor di- rected. |
