Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair The Stan Ott family spent the weekend in Hawthorne, Nevada visiting friends. Kent and Betty Lou Wintch are visiting in California with their daughter Charlene and family. Kent is helping with the remodeling of their daughter's home while there. The Jack Pollocks have their daughter Jackie and family from Boise visiting with them for a few days. Vance Pollock, Greg Pollock and Marv Shakespear are home form their jobs for a week. Dee Pollock spent a few days with his family before returning to his job with the oil wells. Joy Stubbs is visiting her mother in Orem. Todd will join her for Thanksgiving. Franz and Margaret Shakespear attended the wedding of her cousin in Ogden. On the way home they visited several places of interest with their children. The Max Stewart family met his brother Glade and family and had an enjoyable vacation for a few days in California. Rose and Garn Olson, Alton and Louie Shakespear spent an evening with Agnes and Ira Littlefield. Renone Bybee recieved word that her brother John Huesch and wife have a new baby girl, born in Cottonwood, Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Orlan Ruesch are the proud grandparents. The D.I. will have a pick up in Tropic from 3:15 to4:30 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 28. Articles are to be at the church at the designated time. We arc happy to see Shirley Haycock home from her stay in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Reverly were Sunday visitors in Tropic. Trish Long spent a few days visiting with her aunt Charlotte Littlefield. We are happy to have the Lonnie Pollock family back in Tropic. Sam Steed and Jim Clarke were our visiting speakers in sacrament meeting Sunday. Shirley Haycock was released as homemaking leader and Mira Loy Ott sustained in her place, DelRae Pollock was released as the home beautification leader and Jeanne Pollock will take her place. Jean Syrett was released as Foods leader, Mary Ott will take her place. Ora Brinkerhoff is the new librarian in place of Rachel Ahlstrom. Mr. and Mrs. Malen Mccham, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Mecham, Scott and Shaunna and Sherrie Mecham were in Oak City to hear Angelyn's nephew give his mission import. Glen and Norene Swapp spent the weekend in Tropic remodeling their home. They plan to move to Tropic in the near future. Viva, Malen and Nellie Mecham and daughter Francene were in Provo. Flora LeFevre and daughter Bonnie Willis were in Panguitch on business. Margaret M. Mecham had the ladies Family Home Evening group at her home Monday night. 54 Bryce Valley Senior Citizens enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving turkey dinner and a special film Thursday evening. Imogene Lambert and Afton Church were special guests. |
