The Escalante Ranger District has only small stands of blue spruce occurring along North Creek and Pine Creek. The Forest Service wants to retain those few blue spruce for esthetic, watershed, and fishery purposes.. The service has asked the cooperation of the public in complying with its request, enabling the entire District to be kept open to personal Christmas tree cutting rather than having only designated areas. |
