Show by Jnn This Thanksgiving stop and think of all the blessings you have because you live where you live. Here in this country we have so many great freedoms, from Freedom of the Press to our right to elect our own government officials. We live In a country that has never seen a world war fought on her soil. Because we live in the United States, we don't live in mortal fear of being "wataned" by "big brother." When we go to bed at night, we are reasonably sure that we will wake up in the morning without having been dragged somewhere for questioning or torture. We aren't constantly worrying about where the next bit of food is going to come from, or where we will go when the weather turns cold. Living in Southern Utah, we can still walk down the street and pass people we know. We can smile and say "hi", even to strangers, without having to worry that they might stick a knife in our back. We Jive in a community where we can send bur kids off to school, knowing that they will be taught, by responsible teachers, the scholastic part of life. We are lucky to have the choice to chose our religion and when and where we will worship. xjjJJ am so thalhkful to hAVe grown up in a small community like Rich field, mostly because of the wonderful people who make up the town. Hope you all, wherever you live, have a happy Thanksgiving. |
