Show Gem-Mineral Society Party The Color Country Gem and Mineral Society will hold its annual Christmas Party December 4 in the Panguitch Middle School cafeteria with festivities beginning at 6:30 p.m. During the evening's activities, newly elected officers will be installed: Maryon Winkler, president; Clay Young, vice-presdient; Henry Bolton, Sargeant-at-arms; Christine Lit-tlefield, secretary; Bert Morris, treasurer and Opal Berrett, historian. Directors holding office will be George Proctor for three years; Arnold Keown for two years, and Bill Niebel for one year. As outgoing president, Bill Niebel automatically becomes a one-year director according to the club's by-laws. The evening's dinner will be potluck, with the club furnishing the main course, punch, rolls, and butter. Reservations are needed because of space limitations. Those not furnishing a dish to serve eight people are asked to contribute $4 per person. Guests will be welcome but reservations must be made for them. Club members are asked to bring their own place settings of silver and china. There will also be a gift exchange with gifts restricted to a $3 minimum and $5 maximum. A telephone committee will contact club members about reservations and planners for the event say that they expect a good turnout. |
