Show I High School Band Plays in Days of '47 Parade The Parowan High School Band participated in the "Days of '47" Parade In Salt Lake City on Monday Mon-day morning, July 21, for the second successive year, and are reported to have sho.vn up very well by those from here wno wit nessed the parade. This year's group was comprised com-prised of 43 members, directed by L. N. Asay of the high school music department, and following their participation in the big parade, they went to Lagoon where band day was observed. For this event special concessions conces-sions were free to the members of all bands which participated in, the Days of '47 parade that day. The band members returned return-ed home late Monday evening after af-ter the strenuous day. Accompanying the band In addition ad-dition to Director Asay, were Gam O. Page, who drove the bus contributed by the Iron County School District, Gam's brother-in-law, Fulton Marshall, Mrs. Carline Green, Mrs. LaRue Watson and Miss Mama Heap. Mr. Asay remained in Salt Lake City to visit with members of his family, who came from the Bighorn Big-horn Basin in Wyoming to join iiim for a few days. |
