Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING by Nola ' Kupfer Holiday guests at the W. Arthur Ar-thur Jones home were Mr. and Mrs. Bryan (Louise) Turner and two sons of Flagstaff, Ariz. Miss Laurel Omens ended a three-week stay with her cousin, Sandra Kay Kupfer, as she departed de-parted for her Fresno, Calif, home on Saturday. She was joined for the trip by her mother, Mrs. Anna W. Owens and Brer.t faulk-ner faulk-ner who visited briefly at the Kupfer home. Mrs. Ben Baldwin entertained Pinochle club members on Tuesday Tues-day evening. Prizes were won by Mrs. Hal Norton and Mrs. Gayie Adams. The hostess served light refreshments. Enjoying a few days visiting family and former friends are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Higbee and family. The former Cedarites were guests of Mr. Higbee's sister sis-ter and husband, the S. W. Hey-bornes. Hey-bornes. Returning from a week vacation vaca-tion on Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Schmutz and children. The family enjoyed visiting in Salt Lake City and then continued con-tinued on to Yellowstone National Nation-al Park where thoy enjoyed sightseeing. Las Vegas beckoned Mr. and Mrs. Otis K. McCall for the holiday holi-day week end. Spending the holiday at Aspen Lake resort were Sharon Bulloch and children, Chris and Becky. Joining them for a pleasant time was Janice Robb. Bridge was played at the home of Mrs. Robert MacCannon on Wednesday evening. Special hostess guest "was Mrs. Percy Peters. High score prizes were presented to Mrs. V. J. Clove and Mrs. York Jones. . Combining business with pleasure plea-sure in Cedar City this past week were Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Miles, Jr. and family of Salt Lake City. They were entertained entertain-ed by Mr. Lorin C. Miles, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Haight and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Dotson. As the family returned home, they were accompanied by the Dobson children, chil-dren, Trudy, Dianne and Ronnie, who will stay a week at the Miles' home. Spending the summer li Cedar City is Mrs. Cleon Barnei and sons, Richard and Bobbie. The threesome arrived from their Arizona Ari-zona home the first of July. They will visit as guests of Moroni Perry. Major Barnett will join his family the latter part of August. During Mrs. Barnett's stay, family birthday Celebra-tinna Celebra-tinna nrt nth or Catherine's nf the family have been enjoyed. Stopping in for a week end visit at the George L. LeBaron home were Mr. and Mrs. Walt Donaldson and family of Price. Mrs. Donaldson is a sister of Mrs. LeBaron. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. McRay Cloward were hosts to Mr. and Mrs. Grant Larsen for the 21th and a few days following. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Proctor soent their vacation in Sheridan, Wyo. Returning to their former home with them were the Proctor children. As they returned home From Logan, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Hart Judd and children are visiting with Bishop and Mrs. Theron Ashcroft. The former residents resi-dents have also spent a few days in Kanab with Mr. Judd's parents. |
