Show NEWS NOTES FROM SUMMIT Mrs. Donna Davenport Mrs. Elda Tife returned home last Thursday after being in the Salt Lake General hospital since the first of June. Several days before her return home about 14 ladies from Summit, under the direction of the Relief Society President Jean Farrow, went into the Fife home to do a little cleaning and painting to show their love and appreciation for Mrs. Fife and to welcome her back wishing her a speedy recovery re-covery from her illness. Mrs. Boyd Lawrence and three children have returned here after af-ter a two week visit in Greeley, Colorado, with Mrs. Lawrence's folks. They will remain here until un-til Monday with Boyd's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Lawrence, then will travel on to their home in San Diego, Calif. Mrs. Carol Davis and daughter Laurie and Janice of Richfield arrived here Saturday for a few Have' visit with Carol's folks. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley. Mr. and Mrs Nels Madsen are enjoying a visit from their daughter, Mrs. Noreen Smith and family of Los Angeles. Marc Alltmen of Santa Barbara, Bar-bara, Calif., spent a couple of days here with his wife's folks the Ray Farrow, returning home Friday with his brother-in-law, Gayland Farrow, accompanying him. Gayland has re joined the Navy and will go on to San Francisco where he will be assigned as-signed to a ship. He spent four years In the Navy then was released re-leased and has spent the past two years attending the College of Southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Farrow and family are in Salt Lake City for the holiday week end and will visit with Mrs. Farrow's brother Jay Walker and family. The Jay Davenports made a trip to Fillmore and back Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Dee El Stapley and family left Saturday for northern Utah. Mrs. Stapley and children will spend two weeks with her mother Mrs. Eldon Neil-son, Neil-son, in Murray and Dee El will go on to Logan where he will attend at-tend summer school at the Utah State University. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Lawrrncc are happy over the arrival f a new great-grandchild. The little girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lawrence of Cedar City. Mrs. John Farrow has returned home after several weeks' visit in Salina with family members. The young married group enjoyed en-joyed cooking their supper at the Parowan Five Mile recreation park Thursday evening. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Dee El Stapley, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Evans, Mr and Mrs. Delos Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Hulet, Mr. and Mrs. Dee White, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Prince and Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Morton. |
