Show I Third Ward Building Work Nears Completion Although the Third Ward will not, In all probability, be able to reach its goal of getting the addition to its wurd chapel and recreation hall dedicated at the next quarterly conference of the Parowan Stake, scheduled for Aug. 26 and 27, work is progressing progress-ing on final touches to the building build-ing proper and to the grounds surrounding the building, according accord-ing to information given us by Bishop Heber Gurr. I The. stage curtain and drapes In the recreation hall have arrived ar-rived and are now In place and the only thing remaining there Is the treatment of the recreation hall ceiling to improve the acoustics. acous-tics. The need lor this has been proven since the hall has been placed in use. Outside the building all of the lawns and shrubbery have been planted and walks have been run in front of the building. Remain-lng Remain-lng to be done is a driveway from Main Street west past the north entrance to the classroom portion por-tion and a walk leading south past the west entrance to the recreation hall, the planting of lawn between the walk and the building and the blacktopping of that area between the building and the driveway to the Old Rock Church for use as a parking lot. Work on these parts of the program pro-gram will go forward as fast as possible. Besides the entrance from Main Street running down between the building the American Amer-ican Legion Memorial, there will also be an entrance and exit to and from the parking area on 100 South Street, we understand. |
