Former Bisho7jhn R- Hindjey risited in American Fork Wednesday and attended the Old Folks outing at Geneva. Mrs. Dean Whitehead and son, left Wednesday for their home in San Baradino, California, after a months visit -with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Duncan, Dr. and Mrs. Carl Hawkins and child 'of Davenport, Iowa, arrived here Monday for a short visit. Dr. Hawkins left for a week's visit m California, leaving his family at the home of his mother, Mrs. E. B. Hawkins. In honor of his sixth birthday, Friday, some 15 of the friends of Fred Houston enjoyed an afternoon of lively games and refreshments were served by his mother, Mrs. V. F. Houston. ' Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dye left last week for a visit in San Francisco and vacinity. Mr. Darrell Fowler and family of Lehi, are living in the Dye home during their absence. Clarke and daughter, daugh-ter, Bertha, left Monday for Para-wan Para-wan to visit with Mrs. Clarke's father, fath-er, Mark Jackson, who is quite seriously ser-iously ill. Bert Christensen and family visited visit-ed Sunday at the sheep camp of Elmer Bezzant located up Nebo creek. They report the Bezzarits all feeling very well and enjoying the summer. Miss Gladys Thomas of Salt Lake City and formerly of London, England, Eng-land, is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Clarke. Mr. Clarke became acquainted with Miss Thomas Tho-mas while on a mission in Great Britan. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Morrison of Salt Lake City, are receiving congratulations con-gratulations on 'the arrival of a baby girl at their home last week. Mrs. Morrison was formerly Miss Grace Rowley of this city. Mrs. Stanford Wilde was hostess to the Feality club members and some invited guests at the home of Mrs. Lillie Wilde last Thursday. After Af-ter a tasty lunch the evening wasi spent playing bridge at which Mrs. Walter Steffins won the club prize and Miss Christine Ramsay the guest prize. The invited guests were, Miss Christine Ramsay and Mesdames James Moffett, Leo Meredith, James Chadwick, Vern Houston, Bernard Storrs, John Varney, Leige Chipman, Neldon Birk and Clyde Birk. |
