Show Alpine News Mrs. Leonard Bates, Reporter Mrs. James C. Healey and granddaughter, grand-daughter, Miss Louise Hamnett, returned re-turned home Tuesday from a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Omer Hall at Magna. ' Mrs. F. O. McDaniel spent last week in Magna with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Buckner. Mrs. Douglas Barnes and children of Long Beach, California, are visiting visit-ing Mrs. Barnes' parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Strong. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Marsh and family were Wednesday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thirl Marsh in Salt Lake City, the occasion being in honor of the birthday of Ray Marsh. Wednesday evening Miss Berneice Watkins entertained at a very delightful de-lightful party on the roof garden of the Hotel Utah, in honor of Ray Marsh and Mrs. Cleone Marsh Famsworth of Kansas City. Among those who attended the 67th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Devey at Lehi Thursday night were, Mrs. A. J. Devey, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Devey and children, Mrs. Matilda Devey and children, S. O. Strong, Mrs. Grover Clark, Virl Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Will Strong and children, Mrs. Clyde Strong and children, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bates, Ben and Iris Bates, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Marsh and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Miller and children. chil-dren. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph G. Boren of ProVo, left today for Los Angeles to make their home. Mrs. Boren was formerly Miss Rowena Miller of this city. They were married Tuesday in the Salt Lake temple. Ray Marsh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Marsh, will leave July 1st for the mission school in Salt Lake after which he will leave for a mission mis-sion to South Africa. Mr. Marsh is a talented young man and will make a fine representative from our ward. The Relief Society closed tlieir work for the summer months with a social Tuesday afternoon. With the exception of a work and business: meeting once a month no other: meetings will be held until the fall lessons commence. |
