Show Local Club Represented at Lion Convention Members of the local Lions club enjoyed the two day meet of the State Lions organization held Monday Mon-day and Tuesday at Richfield. Those representing the American Fork Lions were Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Baird, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Taylor, Dr. H. H- Ramsay and Roy Greenwood. ine international Lions club has adopted a Safety program that was used as the theme of the meet. Among the other speakers on this subject were Vincent C. Haskell, National president of the Lions and Governor Henry H. Blood. One session was devoted to suggestions sugges-tions on campaign work in the selecting se-lecting of club officers. These suggestions sug-gestions were put into effect and Cantrel Nielson, Hyrum, was elected Utah State Lions Governor and L. Sumner Pond, Idaho State Governor. Gov-ernor. Prizes were given to many of the clubs and individuals, whose work during the past season was especially especial-ly outstanding. M. L. Baird was awarded a leather brief case with the club emblem and his name engraved en-graved on it, for his work as secretary secre-tary of the local club. This work was judged on his reports and the first class condition of the books. Tuesday evening the entire convention con-vention membership went to Fish Lake for a banquet and dance- n , |
