Show Old Folks Day ! At Geneva Alpine, Timpanojos and Lehi Stakes Enjoy Outing i Some 900 of the aged of the three stakes, Alpine Timpanosros and Lehi, ! enjoyed the annual summer outing at Geneva Wednesday. After the assembly and handshaking handshak-ing the guests were all seated and a hot dinner served. Ellis Peterson of Lehi was master of ceremonies and during the course of the meal talks and musical numbers were enjoyed. After the dinner a fine program was rendered as follows: Dance, Beth Drysdale; duet, Annie Gardiner and Elaine Fenton; reading, Edna Nelson; tribute to Old Folks, written by Merlyn Clyde, was read by Hannah Han-nah Aydelotte; harmonica solo, Mrs. Jennie Chadwick; banjo solo, Carl Bennett, accompanied by Howard Paxman and numbers by the Russon Sisters with guitar accompaniment. There were several other numbers from Lehi with talks and responses from old people of the stake. After the program, a light lunch was served, each town committee taking care of their own guests. Seme 135 attendants who were able to take care of all the guests. o |
