Show SOCIETY NOTES CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY j To celebrate the birthday of Mrs. Erma Gillies, a number of her friends called at her home Monday evening. The time was soon turned into a enjoyable en-joyable evening of "500," which was followed by a dainty luncheon served by the visiting ladies. The first prize was won by Pearl Thiessen and second sec-ond prize by Allene Farmer. Mrs. Gillies received many dainty little handkerchiefs in rememberance of the Allene Farmer,' Anna Grimshaw, Net-day. Net-day. The guests included Mesdames ' tie Kesler, Mary Fernley, Ruth Marks ham, Margaret Murdock, Isabel New-! . hart, Marie Lewis, Vola Ruschmeier, Pearl Thiessen, Mrs. Russel Kidder j and the guest of honor, Mrs. Gillies. ; D. D. S. CLUB '; The D. D. S. club was entertained at the home of Mrs. G. A. I She was the recipient of many bcau-I bcau-I tiful and useful little gifts. , BRIDGE CLUB I Mrs. George Fernley entertained the Bridge club at her home Saturday Satur-day afternoon. Prize for points was ; won by Mrs. C. C. Sloan and prize for honors, Mrs. Rue Xeilsen. A delicious deli-cious dinner was served and a very artistic colonial valentine idea was carried throughout the day. Those : present were Mesdames Jos. R. Mur- dock, P. J. Evans, John, Williams I Rue Xeilsen, Charles Moore, Charles Sloan, Pearl Thiessen and Mrs. Jas. Glenn, was an invited guest. MRS. RALPH QUAYLE ; ENTERTAINS j Mrs. Ralph Quayle entertained two tables of five hundred at her home Wednesday afternoon in honor of the Old Friends club. High score was . awarded to Mrs. Will Fernley and consolation, Mrs. Maurice Johnson. ! Delicious refreshments were served I at the close of the afternoon to Mes-; Mes-; dames Scott Tanner, Wm. Fernley, Antone Johnson, B. Hutchins, George : Ransome, Roy White, Maurice John- son and Mrs. Irvin Campbell. ' |
