W. basketball quintet outpassed and outshot the Milford Union Pacific five ii. a fast encounter played in the Deseret gymnasium before a crowd, of 500 rabid fans. The final score was .10 to 18, and amply avenged a previous pre-vious defeat. Gaining a substantial margin in the first quarter and maintaining a fair lead at the half, the local railroad five burst forth with a shooting attack at-tack after the rest that bewildered the southerners. The score at the first quarter was 9 to 3; the half, 12 to 7. Held scoreless in the first half, "Red" Millett pierced the strings in sensational fashion in the third quarter quar-ter and, supported by Wilkes and Toone, the trio, ably backed by splendid splen-did passing by Ringwood and Hickey, ran up the score to 22 to 9 by the end of the third quarter.
