London Wool Auctions. LONDON, Nov. 10. The wool auction sales were closed today with offerings of 7500 bales, which were readily absorbed. The market closed strong, averaging 10 per cent advance over previous sales. Shafty merinos and medium and low scoureds advanced 15 per cent. The auctions auc-tions were notable for several record prices, 4s 5d for scoured merinos, 2s 9d for greasy merinos and 2s 10d for sllpes. The advance was due to large govern- 1 ment orders and the small supply of raw material. During the series the home trade bought 95.000 bales and France and .Russia 6000, while 8000 were held over-An over-An unconfirmed report has been received I here to the effect that the New Zealand : government has stopped the auction sales I in New Zealand.
