Show Cornerstone Fete for Church To Attract Many Dignitaries Laying the cornerstone of the new St. John's Evangelical church at Fifth East street and Herbert avenue will take place Sunday at 6:30 p. m., said the Rev. F. E. Schumann, pastor. He said Saturday that churchmen church-men and laymen from Provo, Salt Lake City. Ogden, Murray and other points will attend. Some representatives repre-sentatives will attend from Missouri. Mis-souri. Wisconsin and Nebraska. T. G. Eggers, executive secretary of the Lutheran Laymen's league. Will represent this organisation of the church of the Missouri synod. Among the articles to be placed in the cornerstone are a Bible, copies of Lutheran confessional writings, a Sunday edition of The Salt Lake Tribune, a copy of the constitution of the United States, congratulatory letters from President Presi-dent Roosevelt, Governor Henry H. Blood, Mayor E. B. Erwin and other church officials. |
