Buddy to Challenge Maxie's Conqueror LONG BRANCH, N. J., Aug. 21 tJP) The arrival of Buddy Baer at Tommy Farr's training quarters has produced a few complications, at least in Baer's mind and in Manager Man-ager Ancil Hoffman's. Buddy waa invited to share Tommy's Tom-my's quarter as he prepared for his bout with Ab Simon, a preliminary pre-liminary to th Farr-Jo Louis title bout. He declined with thanka yesterday, Hoffman explaining that Buddy intended to challenge Farr "to squara tha family honor" for th Ucking Farr gav Brother Max. So he'll stay somewhere else, but us th same training ring and equipment as Farr. The British champion, after a day of light exercise, was slated to re-sum re-sum boxing today. Th cut he received re-ceived in Thursday's workout was pronounced only a slight on by Commissioner Bill Brown and Dr. William Walker of tha New York stat athletic commission yesterday. As a precaution, however, the cut will be protected by tape and Farr's sparring partners will be instructed to aim their blows elsewhere.
