A charming program of music and speeches was given and light refreshments refresh-ments were served, the evening's entertainment en-tertainment being concluded with a dance. Assistant Superintendent D. H. Adorns in an appropriate speecn in behalf of tho teachers of the city schools presented Mr. Allison with a fine gold watch and chain as a token of esteem for him. Principal Cross of tho Ogden high school officiated as master of ceremonies, ceremo-nies, and withal the evcning'3 cntcr-l cntcr-l talnment was a very happy one. Tho regular program given was as follows: "Love's Old Sweet Song." by tho Ogden high school glee club, under the direction of Musical Director Miss Celeste Conroy. Reminiscences by State Superintendent Superin-tendent Nelson and Principal Qeorge A. Eaton of tho Salt Lake" high school. Mr. Eaton was formerly principal of the Ogden high school. RECEPTION, GIVEN LAST EVENING IN HONOR OF EX-SUPERINTENDENT WILLIAM ALLISON. State Superintendent of Schools Nelson Nel-son Among Large Gathering of Friends at Weber Academy. The reception accorded Professor William Allison, ex-superintendent of the Ogden schools, was a very elaborate elab-orate affair and one which bespoke tho high esteem in which he is held, by tho teachers of the city schools. The reception was given by the teachers of the city schools, and the attendance at the function was exceptionally large, there being present enough people peo-ple to fill the Weber academy assembly assem-bly hall. That Mr. Allison leaves the public school service of the city with the love and esteem of many, of the people of Ogden was manifested last night in a manner that bore with it tho highest compliment. Among those present were State Superintendent A. C. Nel-'son, Nel-'son, Principal George Eaton of the Salt Lake high school and the superintendent super-intendent of the Utah county schools, Professor Chllds.
