Easy Cake 1 cups sifted cake flour . V3 cup lard 78 cup sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder y2 teaspoon salt V2 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 eggs Cream y2 cup flour and lard together to-gether thoroughly. Add the remaining re-maining flour, the sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla and 13 cup milk. Stir and beat vigorously until smooth and fluffy. Add remaining re-maining milk. Beat again until thoroughly combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Pour into two round 8-inch cake pans and bake in a moderate oven (375F.) for about 20 to 25 minutes. |
