Show Remodeling Job Begins on High School Auditorium . The long-hoped-for remodeling of the Springville high 'school auditorium began Monday of this week and is expected to go on through the summer and be ready for use with the openings of school next fall. Approval of the project was made by the school board last February, when Harold Christen-sen, Christen-sen, local school board member announced that the work would get underway as soon as school closed this spring. Not a single day was lost in starting the much-needed much-needed improvements. The remodeling project is expected ex-pected to improve the stage and accompanying facilities. The floor is to be sloped and approximately 546 new seats are to be installed in the auditorium. New steel frames are to be placed in the east windows and the windows on the north side are to be filled in. Accoustic celatex is to be installed in-stalled on the ceiling and new electric wiring and new heating facilities are to be a part of the improvements. The entire remodeling project is to cost in the neighborhood of $22,000 and is to be done under the supervision of maintenance men of the Nebo school district. It is hoped that the entire project pro-ject will be finished and ready for occupancy when school begins in September. |
