Show BOWLING No 300 game has been bowled all summer at the Southeast, but Dave Chipman made a nice try for one Sunday night. He smashed the pins for 9 straight , strikes, but in the tenth frame the 8-6-10 pins were left standing and his score was 265. Ted Arnold has left the bowling bowl-ing business and will be found soon at the Pendleton, Oregon Air base where he is in the ordnance ord-nance division of the regular army. The latest addition to the personnel of the Southeast is Hugo Ensign who has been manager man-ager of the alleys at Logan, Utah, for the past four years. Hugo is well known in Salt Lake City, and the bowling fraternity will will welcome him. He is a first class bowler, an excellent instructor, instruc-tor, and experienced in league organization. Bowlers are beginning to plan for the new season's bowling renting lockers, buying shoes, and getting teams lined up for the leagues. The summer houseclean-ing houseclean-ing and renovating is practically done, and when the resurfacing of the alleys is completed, the Southeast will be ready to handle the season's play. It has been evident during the summer that many parents are bringing their children for a try at the game of bowling. The Southeast is glad to welcome these young bowlers, and will furnish instruction for them. Xhore is no more wholesome family entertainment than bowling. |
