SHELTER FUMES Dr. Franz Meyer of New York, metallurgical metal-lurgical engineer and smelter expert, is a guest at the Knutsford and will work ' with Prof. Stuart Croasdale in an ef- fort to do away with 'the injurious fumes of the smelter smoke. Dr. Meyer has been engaged by -the four smelters here to try and solve the smoke problem so that the damages to .the adjacent fields may be done away with. He said that It was possible that - the smoke might be so treated that the very chemicals that are now injurious to the crops might be extracted and used by the rmelterw.
