Show OFFERS $50 TO . FURNISH EVIDENCE James Thompson emphatically denies the charge made by the police that he received stolen oats. Mr. Thompson says he will give r0 to any man that has delivered oats during dur-ing the last month at his place outside of oats he bought from Anderson & Hanson, jobbers. Mr. Thompson says it Is true that he bargained for seven sacks of oats on the morning f his arrest, at the market mar-ket price, and sent his team with the supposed farmer to get the oats. On the return his wagon had two policemen police-men In it. The latter asked if he had bought oats from the alleged farmer. He replied that he had bargained for them, but denied he had bought at any time from that man or had ever seen him. Mr. Thompson did not know the two men who returned in his waon-were policemen. He is indignant and is anxious anx-ious to have the case fully probed In court. Mr. Thompson has been in business busi-ness in Utah for forty years. |
