Show NEW STRIKE REPORTED AT COPPER URANIUM Expected Soon That a Big Eody of Shipping Ore "Will Be Uncovered. A six-inch streak of high-grade copper cop-per ore recently encountered in the new workings of the Copper Uranium mine is believed by the management to indicate that a big body of shipping ore will be uncovered soon. News of the recent strike was brought to Salt Tji-lce yesterday by George W. PI ami of Rexburg, secretary of the eomp.iny. The property is situated southeast or Arco, Idaho. In the old workings on the property several carloads of high-grade copper ore were found and regular shipments were maintained for a time. Because of t he merous twists of the ore shoot considerable consid-erable trouble was experienced in following fol-lowing it and moving it to the surface. To overcome this feature it was decided to sink a shaft and drift to the ore at depth. A shaft was sunk to a depth of 140 feet and the new strike was made a few days ago in running the drift. In the opinion of Mr. Flann, who is : also general manager of the property, the '. six-inch streamer of ore will yield about Si) per cent copper values. Some of the ore in the old workings yielded as high as ! 60 and 70 per cent. |
