Show ARRESTS TO SOLVE RECENT ROBBERIES Police Believe Ben Bishop ' and Aaron Hower Responsible for Many ' Thefts. Tn the arrest yesterday of two youths S frying the names of i3en Bishop, 18 J years of afje, and Aaron Hower, 19, the police oelieve they have in ens-tody ens-tody the. prowlers who within two weeks have perpetrated many small robberies in various parts of the city. The men, both former inmates of the state reform school, were arrested, at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon by Plahiclothesinen ('. A. Williams, Bert Sealer and Lee Chase after some quick work with an automobile. A cull was sent to police headquarters from the residence of J. A. Foley. J4XS South Ninth East street, which had just been robbed. The officers hurried out, obtained a description of the men ana ten minutes later arrested Bishop and flower two blocks away, near Seventh Kast street. According to the police, the men have confessed to seven robberies, and are expected to admit many more. They are said to have admitted stealing steal-ing a $10U fur overcoat from Samuel Service at the. 1'airmount apartments; a chain and some cash from the residence resi-dence of J. 11. Hughes, 4(55 Ninth Kast street; a woman's watch from the A. llolbrook resilience at 'S.V.i First avenue, and four other robberies. A large quantity quan-tity of loot, was recovered from their, room at the Garden rooming house in West Third South street. |
