Show K-J CLUB MIX-UP AFFAIR AMUSES 35 MEMBERS The K-J club held its semi-an-Hansen, Lucille Vaughn, Verda nual party last Monday at the Reception Re-ception Center, 1227 East 33 South, according to Gweneth Mulder, chairman. Theme was "Mix it, Fix it, Bring it." The whole thing was a mighty mixed-up affair from food to decorations deco-rations and entertainment, even Santa Claus got mixed up and came two months early. The evening opened with pot-luck pot-luck supper served midst mixed-up table decorations of Halloween, Easter, Valentine, Thanksgiving and Independence Day. Mixed-up games featuring the five senses created one laugh after another. Then came the honest election of officers according to mixed-up parliamentary law. Committee Com-mittee thus elected were: Ethel Welling, Mary Brain and Beth Mar-chant. Mar-chant. Then came Santa in the person of no other than Margaret Pihl, who is locally known for her vivid portrayal of dear old Santa. History of the origin of the group dates back to April, 1951 when the group of women, (who formerly served on the LDS Primary stake board of Mrs. Kathleen Jensen before be-fore the division of the old East Mill Creek stake in 1945) honored Mrs. Jensen with a get-together party. They decided to meet semiannually. semi-annually. General committee in charge of arrangements were: Mrs. Mulder, Sylva Luck, Marjorie Lambert, Vera Caldwell and Fern Robinson. Guests were Phyllis Reeve and Hermanna Lyon. |
