Show FUtEKASXiSS Hunters by the thousands will be taking to the fields, lakes and marshes this next week. The ones going into the tinder dry hills can create a real menace if thpy are not careful with their cigaret butts, matches, camp fires. Game wardens and forest rangers rang-ers together issued an appeal to the hunters to have a care to prevent pre-vent fires which of course, can cause more damage than bullets to the wildlife, the forest lands and watersheds. Forest Ranger Wallace Saling said the pro-longed dry spell, the dry falling leaves, the dead grass and twigs are xetremely dangerous fire hazards, as he appealed to hunters to hunt safely so as to not "be called to fight fires." |
