Show Granite District Council welcomed its official association. F. B. Still-man, Still-man, board member, Granite School the newly formed organization into District, was also present. At the conclusion of the evening punch and cookies were served to 450 persons with the tea table sporting a lace tablecloth and a silver candelabra. The centerpiece consisted of a silver bowl filled with roses. Mrs. Paul S. Worthen and Mrs. Henry A. Cameron poured. pour-ed. Mr. Worthen reports a school enrollment of 681332 girls and 349 boys. He stated the response to the opening P-TA meeting and get-acquainted night was most gratifying. Teachers' committee in charge of the flower show were: ident; Mrs. D. Jones, P-TA Regional Re-gional Director, state of Utah, and Mrs. Everett Wood, president of GROUP MEETS Local members of Yesharah, returned re-turned lady missionaries for the LDS church were entertained Saturday Sat-urday hy the Provo chapter in the Joseph Smith Memorial building. Mrs. Christie Smith is president of the Salt Lake group with Miss Elva Killian and Miss Vera North as vice presidents. Yesharah membership is limited to those former lady missionaries who are attending or have attended attend-ed the University of Utah, Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University or Utah State Agricultural College. The Salt Lake chapter has 90 active members now enrolled. |
